Mason Bee Workshop

Mason bees are very effective pollinators. Pollinators serve an important role in our local food web, we need them! This annual hands-on workshop taught by Jen Davis will teach you basic bee-keeping, the life of mason bees, how to construct mason bee habitats and what to plant for the little pollinators. Every February.

Seed to Plate Cooking Classes

Workshops by Chef/Farmer Stacey Givens of The Side Yard:

Learn all about whole plant cooking using every part of the plant from the seeds, buds, stems and leaves. Classes focus on different topics including: Quickles (quick pickles). Harvesting & Preserving. Farm Brunch. Bread Baking. Sauces & Dressings and more. All classes end with a large farmy meal and drinks on the farm.

Side Yard Farm Collaborative BIPOC & Queer Market

We started these monthly farmers markets because our community was in crisis. Covid just broke out and small businesses were suffering. The market’s intention is to create an inclusive space, create a community with makers of all kinds, and to provide an economic opportunity to communities who are too often marginalized.

The Lost Table – Grief Suppers

The Side Yard Farm & Kitchen invites you to join The Lost Table. A table that is resilient, strong and safe for those who have experienced a significant loss- partner, parent, sibling or friend. We’ve decided to take our farm grief group and turn it into a dinner party. Take a seat, bring a dish and feel free to talk about your loss in good company. How do you deal with your grief when you are struggling to understand it? Join our table.

Farm Brunches & Dinners

Chef Stacey Givens and her team are cooking up seed to plate meals for you to take home or dine in. The entire meal is planned around what is growing on the farm. Chef Stacey Givens hosts guest chefs, brewers, distillers, winemakers and artisans of all kinds throughout the season to join her in making each dining experience unique.
