Yoga at the Farm

Donation-based yoga at the Side Yard Farm. This fun, low-pressure class is open to all movement-lovers regardless of yoga experience. You can expect a mix of mindful movement, meditation, and breath work. All ages are welcome, so long as the little’s can respect the intention of the space. Class is facilitated by a rotation of qualified instructors. Mondays starting in June-October.

Mason Bee Workshop

Mason bees are very effective pollinators. Just two or three females can pollinate a mature apple tree! Pollinators serve an important role in our local food web, we need them! This hands-on workshop taught by Jen Davis will teach you basic bee-keeping, the life of mason bees, how to construct mason bee habitats and what to plant for the little pollinators. Every February.

Seed to Plate Cooking Classes

Workshops by Chef/Farmer Stacey Givens of The Side Yard:

Learn all about whole plant cooking using every part of the plant from the seeds, buds, stems and leaves. Classes focus on different topics including: Quickles (quick pickles). Harvesting & Preserving. Farm Brunch. Bread Baking. Sauces & Dressings and more. All classes end with a large farmy meal and drinks on the farm.

Side Yard Farm Collaborative BIPOC & Queer Market

We started these monthly farmers markets because our community was in crisis. Covid just broke out, small businesses were suffering, and it was a time when people needed to come together more than ever. The market’s intention is to create an inclusive space, create a community with makers of all kinds, and to provide an economic opportunity to communities who are too often marginalized.

The Lost Table – Grief Suppers

The Side Yard Farm & Kitchen invites you to join The Lost Table. A table that is resilient, strong and safe for those who have experienced a significant loss- partner, parent, sibling or friend. We’ve decided to take our farm grief group and turn it into a dinner party. Take a seat, bring a dish and feel free to talk about your loss in good company. How do you deal with your grief when you are struggling to understand it? I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer. I know there are so many of you out there going through what I am. Join our table.

Bike In Movie Nights

Spend those hot summer nights at The Side Yard every second Wednesday of the month starting in June. Enjoy local bevvies and a concession stand packed with farmy movie snacks. We host one amazing food vendor, paired with a distillery, brewery, or winery every month throughout the summer. Bike on in and bring the family!

Monthly Plant Start Sale & Happy Hour

Come on out to the farm once a month during the season for a wide selection of organic plant starts for your home garden while sipping on a farmy cocktail. Looking for some specialty goods? We got you! Ground Cherries, borage, gherkins, peppers, tomatoes, greens and more!
WHEN: Once a month (look at events calender)
