The Side Yard

The Side Yard is currently seeking farm volunteers for the 2012 season! From the beginning, volunteers have played an important role in the development of our urban farm. Without the help of so many individuals contributing week after week The Side Yard Farm would not be what it is today. If you like to get your hands dirty, gain urban farming experience and meet new people- then come out and join the family!  Help seed, transplant, weed, harvest and participate in other sustainable farm related tasks!

Volunteer Times
Harvest days at the farm are on Tuesdays and Fridays, they are the most important days for volunteers. The day begins at sunrise with harvesting orders for local restaurants, washing, packaging and preparing new beds for planting. All other days will consist of giving your blood, sweat and tears to help maintain the farm.

Come for an hour or stay the whole day! Volunteers receive veggies on harvest days and many thank you's! If you want to get involved, please contact us to receive a weekly update on volunteer opportunities. If you would like to become a full-time farm intern, please contact us for details.
